If I recall correctly, this happened in the playroom which occasionally doubles for a nuclear blast zone. We were playing the EPA Superfund Contractors game. The Kid picks up a plastic toy hammer and starts swinging it up and down in front of him, telling us he's imaging playing Whack-a-Mole. Although he didn't call it Whack-a-Mole.
"Let's play Bonk the Beaver!"
A collection of nutty, hilarious, surprising, scary things the kid says and does. From our perspective, at least.

Just to start things off...
Darcy and I are the proud and occasionally mortified parent/stepparent of a 4 year old goofball. He's bright, precocious, outgoing, imaginative, and has no apparent filter when it comes to social situations. Which makes for consistently excellent entertainment opportunities.
Today:
Darcy: "What are you going to take for show and tell tomorrow?"
The Kid: "My dance moves"
Really? Ok...this is preschool so anything goes, I suppose. My guess is that it's typically toys? A stuffed animal. Barbie. A ball. I'd expect that favorite movies are probably common. Pictures from summer vacation. Maybe a flower or something from the garden. Fall leaves would be good, too. I'd bring a big ugly Hubbard Squash. Name it Vince or Helga. That'd be awesome. Scare the other kids.
I asked, "Working on his dance moves?" Of course at this point I'm thinking he was just being funny, but Darcy says, "Actually, yes. He showed them to me. I guess he showed his dad last night. He really IS taking his dance moves."
Good lord.
